Through Jesus Christ, God has ransomed a people for Himself, purified them from all unrighteousness, and sent them into the world to testify to His glory. Peter writes about this throughout 1 Peter, but he articulates it concisely in 1 Peter 2:9, calling the church God’s “chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession.” He then explains that God has done this so that those He has saved would “proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” The Church has been saved by God and deployed by Him into the world to testify to His glory.
At One Life ’26, we want to consider the mission of the Church. Specifically, we want to focus on what it means to live as disciples of Jesus, striving to walk in godliness; to make disciples of Jesus, testifying to God’s glorious grace through the gospel; and to mature disciples of Jesus, embracing the local church’s responsibility to instruct her people in sound doctrine.
We hope you will join us at One Life ’26 as we seek to see young people raised up to glorify God by joining in the mission of the Church.
