Elder at The Church at Brook Hills
Nate is a graduate of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he received his Master of Divinity. During his seminary career, Nate had the opportunity to be taught and mentored by Dr. Jim Shaddix, W.A. Criswell Chair of Expository Preaching.
Nate serves as an Elder and Singles (20s-30s) Minster at the Church at Brook Hills. In his role, he is responsible for the development and training of new and existing small group leaders as well as the implementation of the vision, mission, and goals of Brook Hills for their small group ministry. He has been married to his wife, Rachel, since 2015.
Luke and Kayla Sides
The Church at Brook Hills
Luke is a graduate of UAB and has served on The Church at Brook Hills worship team for the past six years. Kayla is a graduate of the University of Alabama where she helped lead worship for the Baptist Campus Ministry. The Sides reside in Birmingham where they attend The Church at Brook Hills, serving in a variety of roles within the Worship ministry.
In our confused world, knowing and believing are often viewed as the same thing. However, simply knowing something does not necessitate any specific actions. In the scriptures we see that belief in Jesus always prompts action. He calls us to ABIDE: to persist in belief resulting in obedience.
